Flowers

There are beautiful and colourful things in the forest,with petals and  green stems,they are… FLOWERS! They can grow in forests,fields,jungles in trees and bushes and even cracks in the road! A fact is dandelions tell the time,because if it takes 4 times to blow all the seeds off its 4 o’clock and same for 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12!

Trees

These tall brown things with leaves on top, which can grow pretty flowers and can have blossom on them, what are they? Trees of course! Trees give us oxygen so we can breath! Trees give homes for animals, and food for some animals! Trees are very important! But people chop trees down for wood to make paper, tables and other things!

Animals

There are many types of animals in the forest and here some:  wolves,bears,hedgehogs,foxes,ducks,lizards,insects,snakes,squirrels,chickmunks, rabbits, birds, rats,mice and more. They all need a home and food and water. Some people go bird watching and there are loads of birds in the forest!

Hunters and less trees

The forest animals hide when they know the hunters are there and sometimes there homes get chopped down. The animals and the plants do not like this but people do it. Maybe one day all forest animals will be rare because there will be less tree homes for them,but that will not ever happen but maybe in millions of years.

Did you know?

• You can see rare red squirrels in a forests, but, its very, very rare.

• In a forest there it is dark and you can see many amazing animals and plants.

• People sometimes go in the forest to see cute animals,or to get exercise.

• Some plants in the forest are poisonous!

The Dog who was afraid of cats

The Dog who was afraid of cats 

Once there lived a dog called Cutie. She was a brown  baby sausage dog . But Cutie was scared of cats! The other dogs said that a cat wont hurt a dog, but Cutie was not sure. What if a cat bit her,  hisssed at her, scrammed her- The front door opened! It was her lovely owner, Florence! Cutie jumped up, paws on Florence’s knees and went “YIP!” Happily. But Florence was holding something, it was ginger, with white whiskers, blue eyes… A KITTEN! Oh no. Cutie ran behind the sofa, her tail down.

Florence put the tiny kitten down, and the kittens name was Ginger. Ginger camme to sniff Cutie. He mewed sweetly“Hi, my name is Ginger, who are you you?” Cutie ran away, skidding across the floor! Florence went “ Don’t be scared Cutie! Its just a kitten!” Cutie was brave, and woofed scaredely “My name is Cutie, don’t make fun fun of me, but i’m scared of cats.” 

Ginger mewed in surprise “I wont hurt you!” Ginger stood up and put her arms around Cutie, Cutie realised If a nasty cat was there, Ginger would do a quiet hiss to say “Don’t hurt my friend!” Cutie was now less afraid of cats.

The Little Puppy

There was a tiny black puppy with a white tummy.And she loved her blue toy ball.Her name is Rosie.Rosie liked to lie down on the green soft grass.

But one day there was a fire in her owners house!Rosie jumped and destroyed the window,and went into the garden.Her owner Florence got out to and called the fire brigade!

Rosie was playing in the garden at night,but a fox came and he looked hungry.

Rosie barked at the fox,but the fox growled at her.Then her owner florence came to check on Rosie and saw the fox growling at Rosie!Florence shood the fox away and pick up Rosie.And said “Its ok that fox has gone away.” Rosie barked happily.

Rosie had a lie down and a sleep.But she had a dream that the world was on fire! Rosie woke up immediately and started barking scaredly.

But Florence said “did you have a bad dream, if you did its not real.” Rosie woofed quietly. Rosie was lucky to have a nice owner and Rosie felt very happy.
